Find fresh snow that is wet enough to pack
Roll a small snowball on the ground until it grows into a base
Make a second snowball for the middle section
Make a smaller snowball for the head
Stack the snowballs from largest to smallest
Pack snow around the joints to hold the snowman together
Add two eyes using stones, buttons, or twigs
Add a nose using a carrot or similar object
Add a mouth using small stones, twigs, or coal
Use sticks for arms
Add a hat, scarf, or other decorations if desired
