Use a CD-R disc and a compatible CD burner
Install burning software (e.g., Windows Media Player, Nero, ImgBurn, or your system’s built-in burner)
Prepare the files you want to burn (data files or audio files) in a folder
Open the burning software and select the correct project type (data CD or audio CD)
Insert a blank CD-R into the burner
Add the files or select the audio tracks
Choose the finalization/close session option if available (for data: finalize; for audio: finalize/close)
Set the write speed to a moderate value (if there’s a speed option)
Set any required options (format, file system for data, audio disc type for music)
Click Burn/Write/Start
Wait for the burn to complete and confirm success
Eject the disc and test it in the target device/player
