Divide the total by 5
Multiply the result by 100 if marks are in fraction form out of 1
If marks are already out of 100, the percentage is the total of the 5 subjects divided by 5
Use the subjects required by your school, college, or board rule if they specify a different method
Exclude optional subjects only if your institution’s rule says so
