Convert watts to kilowatts (kW) by dividing by 1000
Note the number of hours the appliance is used
Calculate electricity units using: kWh = kW × hours
Multiply the result by the number of days if needed
Add the units of all appliances to get total electricity consumption
Use the total kWh as the number of electricity units consumed
To estimate cost, multiply total units by the electricity rate per unit
