GDP per head = Gross Domestic Product ÷ Total population
Use the same time period for both GDP and population
If GDP is in currency units, the result is currency per person
Example: GDP of 1,000,000 and population of 50,000 = 20 per person
If needed, convert GDP to real terms before dividing to compare across years
If needed, use nominal GDP for current-price GDP per head
If needed, use PPP-adjusted GDP for international comparisons
