How To Calculate KCET Rank With Board Marks?

KCET rank is not calculated directly from board marks alone

KCET rank is based on a combined merit score from:

KCET entrance exam marks

Class 12 board marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics

For engineering, the usual weightage is:

50% KCET marks

50% Class 12 PCM marks

Convert board marks to percentage in PCM:

Add Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics marks

Divide by total maximum marks

Multiply by 100

Convert KCET marks to percentage:

Add KCET marks in relevant subjects

Divide by total maximum marks

Multiply by 100

Calculate combined score:

Combined score = 50% of KCET percentage + 50% of PCM board percentage

Rank is then assigned based on the combined score compared with other candidates

If two candidates have the same combined score, tie-breaking rules are applied

For exact rank prediction, use the official KCET rank list or cutoff trends

For non-engineering courses, the weightage and subjects may differ
