Open Instagram and go to your Direct Messages
Open the chat with the person you want to call
Tap the phone icon for an audio call or the video camera icon for a video call
If you do not see the icons, make sure both of you have the latest version of Instagram
Check that Instagram has permission to use your microphone and camera
Make sure the other person is available and has not blocked calls from you
If the call does not connect, try again later or use a different internet connection
