Verify local laws and manufacturer guidance before coating any firearm parts

Disassemble the item completely

Remove all oils, grease, dirt, rust, and old finish

Degrease thoroughly with a proper solvent

Media blast the surface with clean aluminum oxide or approved blasting media

Blow off all dust and avoid touching the prepared surface with bare hands

Mask any areas that must not be coated

Mix Cerakote according to the product instructions

Strain the mixed coating before spraying

Spray thin, even coats with an HVLP spray gun or approved applicator

Allow proper flash time between coats if required

Hang or place the part in a dust-free curing area

Cure the coating at the temperature and time specified by the product instructions

Let the part cool completely before handling

Remove masking carefully

Reassemble the item

Inspect the finish for coverage, thickness, and defects

Use proper ventilation, respirator protection, gloves, and eye protection throughout the process
