Turn off the HVAC system
Locate the air filter compartment
Open the filter cover or access panel
Remove the old air filter
Check the filter size and airflow direction
Insert the new air filter in the correct direction
Close the filter cover or access panel
Turn the HVAC system back on
Replace the filter regularly according to the manufacturer’s schedule
