Open the Google Meet app on your Android device
Join or start a meeting
Tap the screen to show meeting controls
Tap the three-dot menu
Tap Apply visual effects
Tap Backgrounds
Select a background or blur option
Tap Done or close the effects panel
If prompted, allow camera and media permissions
If background effects are not available, update the Google Meet app
Use a supported Android device if the option does not appear
