Wash your hands
Remove the lid from the Brita pitcher or dispenser
Take out the old filter
Discard the old filter
Soak the new filter in cold water for 15 minutes if required by the model
Rinse the new filter under cold water for 15 seconds
Insert the new filter into the reservoir or filter holder
Press down firmly until it fits securely
Fill the pitcher or dispenser with cold water
Let the water filter through and discard the first one or two fills if required by the model
Reset the filter indicator if your Brita model has one
Replace the lid
Refill as needed
