Check whether your FASTag issuer bank allows tag transfer or replacement
Log in to the FASTag issuer’s customer portal or app
Raise a request for bank change, tag closure, or tag replacement
Submit required documents if asked, such as RC, ID proof, and vehicle details
Pay any pending dues and clear the existing FASTag balance if needed
Deactivate or close the old FASTag account as instructed by the bank
Buy a new FASTag from the new bank or issuer
Link the new FASTag to the same vehicle registration number
Update KYC and vehicle details in the new bank’s portal
Affix the new FASTag properly on the vehicle windshield
Verify activation status in the new bank’s app or portal
Test the new FASTag at a toll plaza after activation
