Run the mower for 2 to 3 minutes to warm the oil
Turn off the mower and disconnect the spark plug wire
Remove the oil fill cap or dipstick
Drain the old oil into a drain pan by tipping the mower or using the drain plug if equipped
Return the mower to a level position
Reinstall the drain plug if removed
Add the recommended type and amount of new oil
Check the oil level with the dipstick
Reinstall the oil fill cap or dipstick
Reconnect the spark plug wire
Dispose of the used oil properly
