Open the X app or go to x.com and sign in
Tap your profile icon or the More menu
Select Settings and privacy
Tap Privacy and safety
Choose the privacy option you want to change
Adjust settings for your posts, audience, discoverability, messages, and tagging
Turn on Protect your posts to make your account private
Review and change who can see your posts and activity
Review and change who can send you messages
Review and change who can tag or mention you
Review and change location and ad privacy settings
Save any changes if prompted
