Open Safari
Open a new tab or start page
Scroll to the bottom of the start page
Click Edit
Choose a background image from the available options
Upload a custom image if supported
Close the Edit panel
Open Safari settings on iPhone or iPad
Tap Safari
Tap Background Image if available
Select a background image
On Mac, open Safari settings
Go to the General or Start Page section
Enable background image options if available
Select or add a background image
