Check the battery type and voltage on the label
Use the charger made for that exact battery
Remove the battery from the bike if the manual requires it
Inspect the battery and charger for damage
Plug the charger into a dry indoor outlet
Connect the charger to the battery in the correct orientation
Make sure the connections are secure
Charge in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area
Keep the battery away from heat, water, and flammable materials
Monitor the charging process as recommended by the manufacturer
Stop charging when the charger indicates full
Disconnect the charger from the outlet first
Remove the charger from the battery
Reinstall the battery if needed
Store the battery at the recommended charge level if not in use
