Scan the room slowly for tiny pinholes, blinking lights, or unusual wires
Check mirrors for the “two-way mirror” test by placing a fingertip on the glass; if there is a gap, it is likely a normal mirror
Use your phone camera to look for infrared lights in the dark
Use a camera detector app or RF detector if available
Check vents, wall decor, picture frames, shelves, and plants for hidden devices
Unplug suspicious devices that are not essential and report them to hotel staff
Cover or block suspicious openings with tape or a towel
Inspect the bathroom, especially near mirrors, vents, and power outlets
Look for devices positioned with a clear view of the bed, shower, or changing area
Ask the hotel manager for a room inspection if anything seems suspicious
Contact local authorities if you find a hidden camera or believe one is present
