You cannot view an email password in plain text if you do not already know it
Check whether the password is saved in your browser or password manager
Open your browser’s password manager and search for the email account
Open your device’s saved passwords or keychain settings and look for the email account
Use the email provider’s password reset option if you forgot the password
Check any written records or secure notes where you may have stored it
Ask the account owner or administrator if it is a work or shared account
Change the password after confirming access to the account
Enable two-factor authentication after updating the password
