Open WhatsApp and go to the chat with the person
Check the top of the chat for their last seen status if it is visible
Open the contact’s profile to see last seen and online status if available
Make sure your own privacy settings allow you to view last seen
Note that you can only see last seen if the other person has not hidden it
If last seen is not visible, the person may have disabled it or blocked you
Use WhatsApp Web or the mobile app to view the same contact status
Verify that both you and the other person have an active internet connection
Update WhatsApp to the latest version if last seen is not showing
Check whether the contact has set their privacy to My Contacts or My Contacts Except
Remember that last seen may not appear if the person is currently online
Avoid third-party apps or tools that claim to reveal hidden last seen status
