To see a contact’s online or last seen status, both users must have privacy settings that allow it.
To check your own WhatsApp privacy settings, open WhatsApp, go to Settings, then Privacy.
To manage who can see your last seen, online status, profile photo, about, and status, adjust the Privacy options.
To verify messages or chats on your own account, use WhatsApp’s search, starred messages, archived chats, and chat info features.
If you’re worried about account safety, enable two-step verification in WhatsApp Settings under Account.
If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, review linked devices in WhatsApp Settings and log out of unknown sessions.
