Turn on the meter
Rinse the probe with clean water
Dip the probe into the water sample
Wait for the reading to stabilize
Read the TDS value on the display
Record the result in ppm or mg/L
Rinse and dry the probe after use
Compare the reading with your water quality standard
Repeat the test if needed for accuracy
