For multiple verses, use a range such as Psalm 23:1–4
For nonconsecutive verses, separate them with commas such as Matthew 5:3, 5, 7
For a full chapter, cite the chapter only such as Genesis 1
For a passage spanning chapters, include both chapters such as Exodus 12:1–13:10
Follow the citation style required by your assignment or publication
Use italics or quotation marks only if the style guide requires them
Include the Bible version in the reference list if needed
