Rinse the bike with low-pressure water
Shift the chain onto the smallest chainring and smallest rear cog
Apply bike cleaner or mild soap to the frame, wheels, and components
Scrub the frame with a soft sponge or brush
Clean the drivetrain with a brush and degreaser
Wipe the chain, cassette, chainrings, and derailleur pulleys
Clean the brakes, rotors, and rims carefully
Rinse off soap and cleaner
Dry the bike with a clean microfiber cloth
Lubricate the chain after it is fully dry
Wipe off any excess lubricant
Check the bike for any remaining dirt or grime
Clean and store brushes and cloths after use
