How To Clean A CD Disc?

Wash your hands first

Hold the CD by the edges or center hole

Blow off loose dust with a soft air blower

Wipe the disc gently with a clean, soft, lint-free microfiber cloth

Wipe from the center hole straight outward to the edge

If needed, lightly dampen the cloth with distilled water

For stubborn dirt, use a small amount of mild dish soap mixed with water

Clean only the shiny data side

Avoid circular wiping motions

Dry the disc with a separate soft, lint-free cloth

Let the disc air-dry completely before using it

Check for remaining smudges or debris under light

Store the CD in its case when not in use

Avoid paper towels, rough cloths, and abrasive cleaners

Avoid alcohol, acetone, and household solvents unless the manufacturer recommends them
