Turn off power to the air conditioner
Remove the access panel or cover
Locate the evaporator and condenser coils
Vacuum loose dust and debris from the coils
Spray the coils with a no-rinse coil cleaner
Let the cleaner sit for the recommended time
Gently brush the coils if needed
Wipe away loosened dirt with a soft cloth
Rinse the coils lightly if the cleaner requires it
Clean the drain pan and surrounding area
Reinstall the access panel or cover
Restore power to the unit
Run the air conditioner and check for proper operation
