Gently rub with your fingers
Use a soft toothbrush for loose dirt
Use mild dish soap in distilled water if needed
Rinse again with distilled water
Pat dry with a soft lint-free cloth
Let coins air dry completely
Store coins in dry, acid-free holders
Do not use vinegar
Do not use baking soda
Do not use abrasive cleaners
Do not scrub hard
Do not polish collectible or rare coins
