Rinse the surface with a garden hose
Mix warm water with mild dish soap
Scrub the decking with a soft-bristle brush or mop
Clean along the grain or texture of the boards
Rinse thoroughly with clean water
Remove stains with a composite-deck-safe cleaner
Use a plastic scraper for stuck-on debris
Clean spills as soon as possible
Avoid abrasive pads, steel wool, and harsh chemicals
Avoid pressure washing unless the manufacturer allows it
Let the deck air dry completely
