Turn off the Dyson and unplug it
Remove the filter from the machine
Tap the filter gently to remove loose dust
Rinse the filter under cold running water
Keep rinsing until the water runs clear
Do not use detergent, soap, or hot water
Shake off excess water
Leave the filter to dry completely for at least 24 hours
Refit the dry filter into the Dyson
Do not use the machine with a wet filter
