Close the blinds fully
Dust both sides with a microfiber cloth, duster, or vacuum brush attachment
Fill a bucket with warm water and a few drops of mild dish soap
Dip a microfiber cloth or sponge into the soapy water and wring it out well
Wipe each slat from top to bottom
Open the blinds the opposite way and repeat on the other side
For stubborn dirt, use a soft toothbrush or cotton swab
Rinse the cloth with clean water and wipe away soap residue
Dry the slats with a clean microfiber cloth
Lower the blinds and let them air dry completely
Remove the blinds if needed for a deeper clean
Soak vinyl or aluminum blinds in a bathtub with warm soapy water
Rinse thoroughly and dry before rehanging
Avoid soaking wood blinds
Use a wood-safe cleaner or lightly damp cloth for wood blinds
Clean mini blinds regularly to prevent buildup
