Unplug the coffee maker and let it cool completely
Remove the filter basket, carafe, and any removable parts
Wash removable parts with warm, soapy water
Rinse and dry the removable parts thoroughly
Fill the water reservoir with equal parts white vinegar and water
Place the empty carafe on the warming plate
Start a brew cycle and let it run halfway
Turn off the machine and let it sit for 30 minutes
Finish the brew cycle
Discard the vinegar solution from the carafe
Run two to three full cycles with clean water
Wash the carafe and filter basket again if needed
Wipe the exterior and warming plate with a damp cloth
Dry all parts before reassembling
Clean the coffee maker regularly to prevent buildup
