Wash the silverware with warm water and mild dish soap
Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth
Line a bowl or sink with aluminum foil, shiny side up
Add hot water
Add 1 tablespoon baking soda per cup of water
Add a pinch of salt
Place the silverware in the solution so it touches the foil
Let it soak for 2 to 5 minutes
Remove the silverware
Rinse with clean water
Dry immediately with a soft cloth
Buff gently with a microfiber cloth
Use a silver polish if tarnish remains
Rinse and dry after polishing
Store silverware in a dry place
Keep silverware wrapped in anti-tarnish cloth or paper if possible
