Turn off the power to the exhaust fan
Remove the fan cover or grille
Soak the cover in warm, soapy water
Wipe loose dust and grease from the fan blades and housing
Use a soft brush or cloth to clean the blades
Apply a degreaser to stubborn grease buildup
Clean the motor area carefully without getting it wet
Rinse and dry the cover completely
Reinstall the cover or grille
Restore power and test the fan
