Gather reptile nail clippers or small human nail clippers, styptic powder, and a towel
Wash your hands and work in a calm, well-lit area
Wrap the bearded dragon gently in a towel if needed to limit movement
Hold one foot at a time and extend the toe carefully
Identify the quick and avoid cutting into it
Trim only the sharp tip of each nail
Clip slowly and take small amounts off
Stop if the nail starts to bleed
Apply styptic powder if bleeding occurs
Repeat for the remaining nails as needed
Keep the session short and calm
Reward the bearded dragon after finishing
Check nails regularly and trim again when they become overgrown
