Check whether your controller is wired or wireless
For a wired controller, plug the USB cable into the controller and the PC
Wait for Windows to detect and install the driver automatically
If needed, install the controller’s official driver or software
For a Bluetooth controller, turn on Bluetooth on the PC
Put the controller into pairing mode
Open Bluetooth settings on the PC
Select Add device or Pair new device
Choose the controller from the list
Confirm pairing if prompted
For a wireless controller with a USB dongle, plug the dongle into the PC
Turn on the controller
Wait for it to connect automatically
Open the game or controller settings to verify input
Calibrate or remap buttons if needed
Update the controller firmware if available
