Turn on your PS4
Connect the PS4 controller to the console with a USB cable
Press the PS button on the controller
Wait for the controller light to turn on
Unplug the USB cable if you want to use it wirelessly
To connect to a PC or phone, turn on Bluetooth on the device
Put the PS4 controller in pairing mode by holding the PS and Share buttons until the light flashes
Select the controller from the Bluetooth device list
Enter a pairing code if prompted
