Use a USB cable to connect your phone to your laptop
Unlock your phone
On your phone, choose File Transfer, MTP, or Trust This Computer if prompted
Open File Explorer on Windows or Finder on Mac
Access your phone from the connected devices list
Turn on Bluetooth on both devices
Pair your phone and laptop through Bluetooth settings
Turn on Wi-Fi on both devices
Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network
Use a phone companion app or built-in sync feature if needed
Enable hotspot on your phone if you want your laptop to use your phone’s internet
Connect your laptop to your phone’s hotspot from Wi-Fi settings
