Turn on the printer
Connect the printer to the laptop with a USB cable, or connect both to the same Wi-Fi network
Open the laptop’s Settings
Go to Printers and scanners or Devices and printers
Click Add printer or scanner
Select your printer from the list
Follow the on-screen prompts to install it
Download and install the printer driver from the manufacturer’s website if the printer does not appear
Set the printer as default if needed
Print a test page to confirm the connection
