Choose a safe, open outdoor area
Gather materials: wooden base, two sturdy side supports, a throwing arm, a fulcrum axle or bolt, rubber bands or rope, a spoon or cup for the projectile holder, screws or nails, and basic tools
Cut the wooden base to a stable size
Attach the two side supports vertically to the base
Drill aligned holes through both supports for the axle or bolt
Make the throwing arm from a strong wooden strip
Attach the spoon or cup securely to one end of the throwing arm
Insert the axle or bolt through the supports and the throwing arm
Secure the arm so it can pivot freely
Add rubber bands or rope between the arm and the base to create tension
Test the arm movement and adjust the tension as needed
Place a soft, lightweight projectile in the holder
Pull the arm back carefully and release to launch
Check all joints and fasteners before each use
Wear eye protection and keep hands clear of the arm path
Use only soft projectiles and never aim at people or animals
