Install 3D Slicer or ITK-SNAP
Open the T1 NIfTI file in the software
Load the image volume
Use segmentation tools to isolate the structure of interest
Apply thresholding or manual segmentation as needed
Refine the segmentation if necessary
Convert the segmentation to a 3D model
Export the 3D model as STL
Save the STL file to your computer
