Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels
Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan, skin side up
Rub the turkey breast with oil or melted butter
Season with salt, pepper, and any desired herbs or spices
Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part without touching bone
Roast until the internal temperature reaches 165°F
Baste occasionally if desired
Tent loosely with foil if the skin browns too quickly
Remove from the oven and let rest for 15 to 20 minutes
Slice and serve
