Wash the pumpkin
Cut it in half
Scoop out the seeds and stringy pulp
Cut into smaller pieces
Peel the skin if needed
Place pieces on a baking tray
Drizzle with oil if desired
Bake at 375°F to 400°F until tender
Check with a fork for softness
Let cool slightly
Scoop out or mash the cooked flesh
Use in soups, pies, purees, or side dishes
