Cut beef tips into even pieces if needed
Season with salt, pepper, and any desired spices
Heat oil or butter in a skillet or pan over medium-high heat
Sear the beef tips until browned on all sides
Remove the beef from the pan and set aside

Return the beef tips to the pan
Reduce heat to low
