Rinse the broccoli under cold water
Cut off the thick stem and separate into florets
Peel and slice the stem if using
Boil water in a pot and add salt
Add the broccoli and cook for 2 to 4 minutes
Drain and serve
Steam the broccoli for 4 to 6 minutes until tender
Sauté broccoli in oil or butter over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes
Roast broccoli at 425°F for 15 to 20 minutes with oil, salt, and pepper
Microwave broccoli with a little water in a covered dish for 3 to 5 minutes
Season with salt, pepper, garlic, lemon, or cheese before serving
