How To Cook Brown Rice?

Rinse the brown rice under cold water until the water runs clear

Add 1 cup brown rice and 2 to 2.5 cups water to a pot

Add a pinch of salt if desired

Bring the water to a boil

Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot

Simmer for 40 to 50 minutes until the water is absorbed

Remove the pot from the heat

Let the rice sit, covered, for 10 minutes

Fluff the rice with a fork before serving
