How To Cook Crab Legs At Home?

Thaw frozen crab legs in the refrigerator overnight or under cold running water for 20 to 30 minutes

Rinse the crab legs under cold water

Fill a large pot with water and add salt

Bring the water to a boil

Place a steamer basket in the pot if using one

Add the crab legs to the pot or steamer basket

Cover the pot with a lid

Steam for 5 to 7 minutes if thawed

Steam for 8 to 10 minutes if frozen

Or boil for 4 to 6 minutes if thawed

Or boil for 6 to 8 minutes if frozen

Remove the crab legs with tongs

Drain well

Serve with melted butter, lemon wedges, and seasoning if desired
