Thaw lobster tails completely if frozen
Preheat grill to medium-high heat
Clean and oil the grill grates
Use kitchen shears to cut the top shell lengthwise down the center
Loosen the meat from the shell and lift it slightly on top
Brush the lobster meat with melted butter or oil
Season with salt, pepper, garlic, or desired spices
Place lobster tails shell-side down on the grill
Close the lid and grill for 5 to 8 minutes
Baste with butter once or twice while grilling
Cook until the meat is opaque and reaches 140°F to 145°F
Remove from the grill
Serve immediately with melted butter and lemon if desired
