Open the image in Finder, Preview, Photos, Safari, or another app
Select the image
Press Command + C
Or right-click the image and choose Copy
To copy from Finder, select the image file and press Command + C
To copy from Preview, click Edit, then Copy
To copy from Safari or another browser, right-click the image and choose Copy Image
Paste the copied image with Command + V where needed
