Count each antler tine that is at least 1 inch long
Do not count the main beam as a point
Do not count the brow tine if it is less than 1 inch long
Count points on both antlers separately
Count only the visible points on one side if using a one-side estimate
Include abnormal points only if your scoring method allows them
Use a tape measure to confirm any point that is close to 1 inch
Count the tip of each antler beam as a point if it meets the minimum length requirement
