UAN is not created by an employee directly
UAN is generated by the employer during EPF registration or employee onboarding
Provide your employer with your personal details, Aadhaar, PAN, bank account, mobile number, and previous PF details if any
Ask your employer or HR to register you on the EPFO portal
Employer submits your details to EPFO through the employer portal
EPFO generates the UAN and links it to your PF account
Your employer shares the UAN with you after generation
If you already have a UAN, ask your employer to link your new PF account to the existing UAN
You can check your UAN status on the EPFO member portal if your employer has shared the details
If your UAN is not available, contact your employer or EPFO helpdesk
