Open the Google Photos app or go to photos.google.com
Sign in to the correct Google account
Select the photo or video you want to delete
Tap or click the trash can icon
Confirm the deletion
To delete multiple items, press and hold one item, then select more
Tap or click the trash can icon
Confirm the deletion
To delete all photos, select multiple items in batches and delete them
Open the Library or Albums tab if you want to find specific photos faster
Check the Trash or Bin if you want to permanently remove deleted items
Open Trash or Bin
Select Empty trash or Delete forever
Confirm the permanent deletion
To remove photos from a device only, delete them from the device gallery instead of Google Photos
To stop photos from backing up again, turn off Backup in Google Photos settings
